SHOES
I developed my shoe brand K9 as a way to explore the full potential of footwear as a canvas for design. Through this project, I learned how color, texture, scale, and placement interact on three dimensional surfaces and how each shoe silhouette carries graphics differently. I redesigned my wing logo to follow the natural curves of the shoe, making sure it felt dynamic and integrated rather than applied. I also studied how different styles from high tops to low tops affect how graphics are perceived, how patterns move with the foot, and how materials like leather, mesh, or suede change the overall impact of a design.
This process pushed me to think beyond aesthetics, approaching each pair of shoes like a product with form, function, and wearability in mind. I experimented with branding placement across multiple components such as soles, tongues, straps, and heel tabs to create a cohesive identity that works whether the shoe is seen up close or from a distance. Ultimately, K9 taught me to build designs that are not just visually striking but also adaptable across footwear styles, creating a brand identity that feels intentional, consistent, and fully wearable in streetwear culture.
